Scottish Parliament

Clare Adamson has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament since 2011. She was first elected to represent the Central Scotland region and, since 2016, has proudly represented her own community as the MSP for Motherwell and Wishaw.

Parliamentary Roles

Clare currently serves as the Convener of the Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee. She is also a member of the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee.

Previously, she chaired both the Education and Skills Committee and the Social Security Committee, contributing to key policy developments in these areas.

    Clare has long campaigned for improved safety outcomes, especially in communities facing deprivation. She chairs this group to address gaps in data collection and promote preventative policy.
  • Science and Technology
    With a background in IT, Clare is passionate about increasing diversity in STEM. She chairs this group to encourage innovation and support Scotland’s role in the fourth industrial revolution.
  • Scottish Games Ecosystem
    Clare founded this group to support Scotland’s thriving games sector. The group explores the economic, social, and cultural potential of gaming technologies across industries like education, healthcare, and construction.
