I raised the impact of payroll timing on Universal Credit, after a constituent of mine, a support assistant, received two wage payments in one assessment period with no increase in income. This can lead to reduced UC and rent arrears. I welcome the Minister’s commitment to engage with COSLA and investigate this across the public sector.
