Clare Adamson SNP MSP for Motherwell and Wishaw was delighted to host a Motherwell charity during a visit to the Scottish Parliament.
The Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland (TEFFES) is a Motherwell-based charity which provides support for people in need, particularly migrants, refugees, and Asylum Seekers.
The organisation aims to unite communities by addressing various societal, economic, environmental, cultural, and political factors and works to foster social and learning opportunities, reduce social isolation, and tackle disadvantage.
TEFFES welcomes individuals of all races, beliefs, and cultures, with the goal of promoting love, selflessness, care, compassion, peace, and harmony among everyone.
Ms Adamson said:
“I have been privileged to attend many wonderful TEFFES events aimed at supporting people in our Motherwell and Wishaw community. The group has been instrumental in bringing together people in our local community – particularly women and young people who did not have a voice.
“It was fantastic to return their hospitality and spend a day with the charity in our national Parliament.
“There were many thought-provoking questions from the young people during the visit and to see such excited engagement with the democratic and political process was a joy.
“A huge thank you to my colleagues, Kaukab Stewart and Angela Constance for taking the time to speak with the group.
“The community spirit in Motherwell and Wishaw has always driven me. Angela and the team at TEFFES are serious about positive change and economic wellbeing of the people who live here.
"Days like this show why it's so important to empower young people to care about politics and amplify their voices. Their contributions will shape Scotland’s future.
“The world is full of doubt and strife. We need to focus on compassion and our common humanity to bring better outcomes for all.”
Angela Nduka, CEO of TEFFES said,
“We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for [Clare Adamson MSP’s] unwavering support and the generous opportunity to visit the Scottish Parliament.
